They did end up fixing my amp under warranty, which I appreciate, but the whole process took longer than I expected. I also felt kind of ignored while waiting, like I had to just sit around without much communication. In the end it got handled, but the experience could’ve been smoother.

Ordered it online through long-mcquade. Simple. Got the pickup notice and swung by the store the next day. It was already waiting for me, staff had everything ready, and I was in and out fast. No standing around, no shipping headache. super handy.

"Easy return, but not perfect"
I had to return a pedal and, to be fair, the staff were really quick and helpful about it. The refund came through without any weird hassle, which I appreciated. The only downside was that the return process could’ve been explained a bit more clearly up front, but overall it was a decent experience

I do like Long & McQuade overall, and I’ve had mostly good experiences there. The staff are usually helpful and reassuring when I have questions, which I appreciate. The only thing that gets a bit frustrating is the product availability. A few times I checked the site and thought something was available, but then it wasn’t actually at my local store or it had to be ordered in. It’s not a huge deal, but I wish the stock info was a little clearer so I could feel more confident before making the trip. Still a good store, just something that could be improved.

Am I the only one who thought this would be a lot better? It felt cheap right out of the box, and the sound quality wasn’t great. I really wanted to like it, but it just didn’t feel worth it to me.

I dropped my guitar off for what I thought would be a simple fix, but it ended up sitting there for weeks. The staff was friendly enough, so I’ll give them credit for that, but communication wasn’t great and I had to wonder what was going on a lot of the time. When I finally got it back, the repair didn’t look as clean as I’d hoped. If you’re planning to take something in, I’d suggest getting a clear timeline upfront and checking in regularly so you’re not left waiting.

I went in with what I thought was a simple question about matching an audio interface with my mic, but the guy helping me seem totally lost. He was kind of just guessing the whole time and then basically told me to look it up online. I get that not everyone knows every single thing, but it didn’t feel like anyone was trying to find out either. I ended up leave without buying anything, which was frustrating.

"Decent setup, but not perfect"
I brought my guitar into Long & McQuade for a setup, and when I got it back, it was definitely more playable than before. The action felt better right away, so that part was a win. After playing it for a bit though, I noticed there was still some buzzing on a couple frets, which was a little disappointing. The staff were friendly and the turnaround time was reasonable. For what I paid, I’d say it was okay overall, but it didn’t feel like the most detailed setup.

I placed my order a while ago and figured I’d give it a little time since delays happen and I’m usually patient with this kind of thing. I’ve checked back a few times, looked through my emails just in case I missed something, and even gave it a few extra days before saying anything. At this point though, I’m still waiting and haven’t gotten any updates.

"Backorder Took Forever"
I ordered something that was supposed to be on backorder for just a few weeks, but the date kept getting pushed back. I barely got any updates unless I reached out first, which got frustrating. After waiting way longer than expected, I ended up canceling the order. it was just annoying, and I probably won’t order anything on backorder from here again.

i ordered a small piece of gear from Long & McQuade and it showed up in good shape. the box had a little wear on one corner, but the item itself was wrapped well and nothing was rattling around. not the fanciest packaging ever, but it did the job and everything arrived safely. i’d give it 5 stars if the outside box looked a bit cleaner

"Decent lessons, but I’m still a bit unsure"
I’ve been taking lessons at Long & McQuade for a few months now, and I’m kind of mixed on it. My teacher is really friendly and definitely knows what they’re doing, and I have picked up some useful stuff. But the whole program feels a little confusing at times? Some lessons are great and feel super helpful, then others feel like we’re just winging it with no real plan. Scheduling hasn’t always been the smoothest either, which added to the uncertainty for me. It’s not a bad experience overall, I just expected it to feel a bit more consistent for the price.

Shipping felt a little pricey to me, but the order showed up without any issues. I did reach out to support and they basically said something like, "shipping costs can vary depending on the order," which made sense, even if I still wish it had been cheaper. Overall, everything arrived fine...

"Decent shop, but my visit was a little mixed"
I stopped in to check out a used amp and grab some strings. The store itself was clean and had a good amount of gear to try, which I appreciated. Compared to a couple other music shops I’ve been to, the selection felt solid, but the service wasn’t quite as smooth. The staff were friendly once I got someone’s attention, but I did have to wait around for a bit. One person seemed really tied up, and another didn’t seem to know much about the amp I was asking about. I ended up buying the strings and decided to pass on the amp for now. Overall, not a bad shop at all, just felt a little hit or miss that day.

"Got the wrong strings"
I ordered a specific set of strings, but a different gauge showed up instead. It wasn’t a huge deal, and I was able to get it sorted out, but it did take a little extra time. The order details were correct, so I was a bit surprised. Hopefully it was just a one-off mix-up.
